Forever Day!

First sight of our little ladybug

This has been an amazing day, I can't even begin to describe how blessed we feel. God is amazing and we have been reminded of that each and every day. We started our day by taking a three hour train ride from Beijing to Jinan. Jinan is a lot different than the parts of Beijing that we experienced. It is far more crowded and the people here are not used to seeing foreigners, so we are a big attraction. It is a little strange to be the center of attention all the time. However we have felt very safe and everyone has been very nice.

Our initial meeting with Genei was far different than we imagined. Since we are the only family here, Genei's nanny brought her directly to our room and handed her right to me. There was no crowd or other crying babies. She didn't cry but was wary and serious about the experience. We were able to ask a few questions and then the nanny left. It is still hard to believe that she is finally ours.

The rest of the day went by pretty quickly as we got to know our girl better. She took a bottle right away and loves to eat. She has formed quite an attahment to me and cries if I leave her sight. She also likes her daddy, but she isn't quite as comfortable with him yet.

Alisha, she is so beautiful. I also love the photo of you and her close up. Isn't it just so awesome to finally be able to hold your sweet baby girl and know the girl God has given you. I also love the picture of your DH laying on the bed with Genei. She looks like she already has daddy wrapped around her little finger...lol.

I'm just so happy for you and WE WILL be getting our girls together for a play date when Genei gets all settled in. I have to get my hands on her. She is just so preious. Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings for your family.
